    SEO Makes Dollars & Sense

Anchor text has been a huge talking point within SEO for many years now. Over the years, SEOs have become really good at understanding keyword intent and segmenting the marketing strategy to match intent. Your content can target any audience, but if it doesnít sufficiently deliver the information that audience is seeking, youíre out of luck. Always remember that the success of link building, along with advanced strategies such as the Skyscraper technique, depends on an effective outreach strategy.

Revise your old content and update it

Opening paragraphs shouldnít be longer than one or two sentences. Make sure the thing youíre writing about is mentioned in the first sentence (i.e. your focus keyword or phrase). I like to bold the first paragraph to make it distinct. Keyword research is still useful for example but we now know that Google doesn ít want us to overly stuff our website with those search terms. Instead, the recommendation hovers at around 1-2% keyword density. If you write a long article and include the search term a few times, then that should be enough as long as itís also in your code a little, or in your file name. Smart content is about taking the financial investment that companies make in their content development and channeling it towards a more effective and data-driven strategy. You need images not only to improve a userís experience on your website but also because they have a positive impact on your SEO. Itís not enough to simply have images on a website, though. To help with your Google search ranking, come up with creative file names and alt tags which describe what the image is.

    Adjust your appearance in search

Acquiring new and relevant links can be tricky, but it can be one of your most important SEO goals. Earning those premium links takes a lot of work and itís worth it. Canonicalizing URLs is a very important aspect of Search Engine Optimization but also of Social Media Marketing. Search engine optimization has significantly changed in recent years much to the amiss of Googleís guidelines Search is the #1 driver of traffic to content sites, beating social media by more than 300%

    Google Loves Diversity

You want your companyís name to be one of the first results that they see. One of the most common problems that I hear from people looking to learn more about SEO is that they don't know what information to trust. When it comes to getting visitors to your site, you want to grow your audience and also keep them coming back. According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "There are many different ways of creating new content. In addition to text, web content also includes images, videos, graphics, and audio files. Play around with different content styles in a variety of formats -- blog posts, site pages, webinars, videos, etc. Make the most of the diversity of options out there! Users appreciate variety."

    SEO Makes Dollars & Sense

The more likely potential visitors are to think your site will provide an answer to their search query, the more traffic a page will gain. The world is always changing, and you have to keep up. If you do, the rewards can be great. Launching a new website without putting 301 redirects in place is literally committing SEO suicide. Not only will you lose all of your past SEO history, your rankings (and traffic!) will plummet. Always, ALWAYS 301 redirect your old site pages to your new ones to let Google know where your new content can be found. An early part of the SEO brainstorming process is identifying the great places to get links, as well as the types of content you might want to develop to encourage linking from other quality websites.
