Lots of Questions about the "Answer Forums" product

Please pardon all the questions, but I'm sincerely looking to add a module just like this to my site as soon as possible. If you could help me answer these questions in detail, I'd be happy to make a decision on whether or not I should make this purchase.

1. I have vB 4.0.3 with the default skin. Are there any issues with this?

2. What is the support model after purchase and installation of this product and where to I go for support?

3. Are the same postbit items used from standard forums used in this forum? (Reps, etc)

4. Does the "Answered Topics" postbit carry over into other non Q&A forums?

5. Can this forum be used as a subforum that resides under a forum that’s only being used to categorize sub forums?

6. Can vbcredits and vbplaza be installed after this product is installed without known issues?

7. The urls do not seem to be SEO friendly. Will a product like vbseo take care of this, or are there plans to allow for SEO optimization?

8. There seems to be spam in the demo Q&A forum on here, but the rest of the forums seem "clean". Is this forum somehow susceptible to spam more so than the others or is it that the Q&A forums here are not being maintained as well because it’s a demo?

9. I noticed that there is an ad just below the question\answer in the demo. Is this space to use for an ad an option in the setup?

10. If no ad is used, is there any padding between the best answer and the rest of the attempts to answer?

11. There doesn't seem to be much of a style to separate the "best answer" aside from it being flush with the original question and without member info. Can the answer format be changed somehow?

12. In the post preview, icons and smilies show their reference as in "" which clutters things a little. Can the post preview, just below the question title, be disabled from being shown?

13. When clicking on the name of a top helper in the "Top Helpers" block, I'm taken to their profile. I don't see a place where their other answered questions are?

14. Is there a way to search for questions and answers belonging to members? Like a "See all questions from this member " or "See all of the answered questions from this member " or “See all answers from this member”?

15. Are there seperate permissions for questions and answers?

16. Are there any other sites that I may view where this product is being used?

Nope, only we haven't yet made Answer forums for vB4

Nope, but you can make it

It can be used as any kind of forum

Yes, it actually integrates with 'em

It uses forums and threads, so if your website has a SEO system, this will too

No, we just don't monitor the Q&A since it's primarily used for testing purposes only.

It's vb's default ad section after postbit.

Yes, it has it's own template

That's an Advanced Forums feature, not Answer forums. We use Advanced Forums to show a preview of the thread.

It doesn't link to that place atm

Not right now, you'd need to get some customization done, feel free to contact me for that.

Yes

Plenty. I'll see if i can ask someone if i can link their website over. I don't like linking client websites w/o permission


And yes, you can use Answer Forums on as many forums as you'd like

Gio, thank you so much for getting back to me on this post. I've searched for many options like this and have not been satisfied at all with what I've seen. This is by far the closest to meet my needs. When this is available for vB4 I'll be one of the first to purchase it, assuming it's been tested well ;-). I'd also be willing to talk more about your answer to question 15 when that time comes. I sincerely hope that this product will be available soon.
