Just took a look at your post and noticed you were able to find the answers to some of your questions, went ahead and posted in regards to the others just now. I'll be posted!

Let me begin by saying, that's a pretty nifty logo. At a first glance it seems you have a larger number of forums which can very well be overwhelming for a user. Might want to re-consider this even if only in the beginning. Content so far seems on point. Seems like you have a lot covered and know what you're doing in the area, so i can't wait to see where it goes. In regards to the style, what about something more modern to compliment the logo? The style's colors work ok, but I don't think it does your logo justice.

Maybe more header navigation and such can help you minimize the amount of forums on the index as well?

Overall, seems like you're on the right path so far!

Thank you for the input Gio...

The logo mascot, "Glitch", as I call him was designed especially fo me by a guy by the name of John Schwegel. You can see some of his work here: http://www.johnschwegel.com

He's very talented...and I'm happy to display his work.

I understand what you mean about the inordinate amount of forums I have. I am looking into other styles where I may be able to incorporate less forums by adding some additional navigation to the header area.

Thanks, so much for the comments...and I do listen.

      All my best,

      Steve

Very nice website. I love how you have the main forum categories up in the navigation at the top. But, IMO I would remove the graphic that says "extra links" as to me they really aren't extra but rather the main navigation to get around to the specific main forums of interest. If the graphic said "Forums" or was just not there at all, it would make more sense to me. Only because I feel the links are your main navigation and not some extras for your site or extra links to elsewhere.

I see you aren't using your logo in the new design but rather the optional design. You could take the logo into photoshop or any graphic editor and change the colors to match any design you want to use. For example: You could colorize the computer to match the blue on the new design. Just an idea, of coarse. It is a nice logo and is a shame not to use it in your main style. For your optional theme, you could change the main links color to match the logo's purple color used on the computer to bring in a quick match. Just a thought, of coarse.

Overall I think you've done a very nice job with your website. It's very easy to navigate and find topics of interest.

Best of luck to you and your website
