      Default Answered: Desperatly seeking Help with a link..

      Im really really really sorry for posting this here but ive tried everywhere else and im completely stuck. And as im a dedicated customer of provb (grovel) I thought you might be kind enough to tell me the answer..

      I'm customisizing my threadbit and i want a download button for the attachment contained within the thread but im having difficulty getting the url correct.

      Ive been using this ..

      Code:
      <a href="attachment.php?$session[sessionurl]attachmentid=$attachment[attachmentid]&d=$attachment[dateline]">
      but that doesnt work.

      Any ideas where im going wrong?

    2. "The variable $attachment isn't called for threadbits.

      Infact, none of the attachment data is pulled in threadbit by default. Advanced Forums adds code in order to achieve this. If you're running Advanced Forums, you can use the following variables:
      Code:
      $thread[thumbnail_attachmentid] $thread[thumbnail_dateline]
      "

      I am using Advanced Forums (template: Article) but im assuming that the above variables are image related? Is there anything i could do to get it file related?

      Ah, correct! You'd have to add a new plugin to accomplish this.

      Try to mimic the "Advanced Forums - Forumdisplay Query Enhancements" plugin (you'll see the 3 lines of code below the word "Graphic"). If you add another plugin with the same code, but without the conditionals to verify it's an image, you should be good to go. Just remember to change thumbnail_ to whatever you'd like on the new plugin, this way it doesn't interfere with Advanced Forums.
